       側向推進器分為可調螺距(CP)側向推進器和固定螺距(FP)側向推進器。原動機常用電動機，也可采用柴油機和液壓馬達驅動。
       全回轉舵槳通過操縱舵槳轉舵機構使螺旋槳繞著垂直的中間立柱作360。任意方向回轉，集推進和操舵功能于一體，能使船舶在任何方向都能獲得較大的推力，可作船舶主、輔推進和動力定位。全回轉舵槳有三種安裝形式：艉機型、井座型和甲板機組型。原動機常用柴油機，也可采用電動機和液壓馬達驅動。
       主推可調螺距螺旋槳是蘇州通順船用機械有限公司的船用產品中的一個系列，自引進技術以來，生產的產品已在各種船舶上廣泛應用，使船舶有較好的機動性能，操縱靈活，特別在多工況的船舶上使用效果突出。
